Airwolf Computer Fascia Frame
Airwolf Computer Fascia Frame
"Please Be Aware" this blog POST is a work in progress, the frames here are subject to change and Updates as the creator plays about with aspect ratios and details. Be sure to save as PNG to maintain transparency.

EXAMPLE 2:
PNG, screen centre is transparent, the buttons along the top and bottom row are Square. Buttons have No Inner Shadow

the Top and Bottom Row are Rounded Holes
EXAMPLE 4:
PNG, this has NO Buttons set, the frame is black, the Button place holders are cut out and already Transparent t throw buttons on or behind
the Top and Bottom Row are Square Holes
EXAMPLE 5:
PNG, this has the centre transparent and the buttons in place (but no text or markings)
and the top and bottom row on this one are square.
EXAMPLE 6:
PNG, this has the centre transparent and the buttons with text and the Top and Bottom Row are both Rounded
To be UPDATED at some stage with more variants and maybe more of a 3D aspect.
Note that in some later episodes (season 3) you can see the top and bottom row are actually Square buttons with an Overlay covering their edges. On this shot the corner is Broken and also note it says SEL DIOG
Yet in older episodes the buttons (along the Top and Bottom) appear to be Rounded & Countersunk within the frame Flush with the buttons so they couldne't be square could they? . You can also see the buttons down the sides have curved edges leaning towards the screen.
Both frames & buttons contradict them selves and i firmly believe their was two Fascias created, one of which was probably / possibly used Outside the moch up.
In this shot (also from season 2) you can clearly see just how Flush them rounded buttons are, you can see broken parts too. God knows what happened to the corner ?.
They must have had at least 2 Fascias though right ?
I wonder if a camera fell forward and smashed the original lol
special thanks to Adam Lettow and Mark J Cairns for providing me with random Bluray screen grabs to work with and inspect for detail changes.

Convergent Technologies Workslate EDCC Keyboard Interface
![]() |
Screen Shot from Airwolf Season 2 Episode 3 Moffetts Ghost |
Airwolf's computer keyboard was a portable WorkSlate made by Convergent Technologies in 1983.
It was a portable device using NiCad batteries and used a micro cassette tape to load and save data.
It featured a Hitachi 6303 CPU and 16K of RAM along with a 64K ROM, it also has a serial port.
The screen is a 16x46 character monochrome LCD and the CMOS comes from a Motorola 6800.
When you figure the Airwolf premier on Tv was in January 1984 and you know the work slate didn't go into production until November 1983 it makes you wonder...
The WorkSlate initially cost $895 upon
release, its rival at the time (TRS-80 Model 100) cost $800 with 8K of
RAM and $1000 with 18K of RAM.
Only around 8000 where made and the workslate was discontinued in July 1984, the company lost approximately $15 million.

TRIVIA:
notice the keyboard has a "DoIt" key.
The President of the company "Allen Michaels" used to roam the halls of the company at night and spray paint "DoIT" everywhere, hence the key name.
